According to the Torch (link included) and PWI WWE has added a clause to the Wellness policy banning chair shots to the head that would be punishable by fines or even suspension (most likely for blatant shots to the head).

I have no problem with this move, though most chairshots can be effectively blocked with the arm and still look convincing if the receiver knows how to take it.

Chairshots are way overdone in wrestling anyway.

It's good to put sanctions on it. I imagine some fanboys will be mad, but those are the same fanboys that blame WWE for untimely deaths.

The only thing I'm really upset about is the fact that we will now see twice as many chair shots in TNA.

Chair shots are a staple in the world of wrestling, but with that said, I can see why WWE would make this move. Also, the article says "chair shots to the head" and not chair shots in general, so I think chair shots will continue to be a part of wrestling for years to come.

I agree with this too. TNA wrestling - Where the big boys play, LOL

This is right in line with what all the other sports are doing too, The NFl has Lightened the load on players physicaly. Nascar is making all their tracks safer. Hockey is taking steps to prevent big hits. The day of Athletes killing themselves to entertain us is gone. I dont have any real issue with this, I think athletes are getting weeker and weeker generally anyways so what does it matter.

Id much rather ban chairs shots and weapon shots all together, than limit the wrestlers movesets like they do, Skip the Chair shots but Let punk do the 450 and let Rey Mysterio Fly like he used to.

Punk couldn't do a 450 for $1000. (Well maybe he could, but the point is, LOL CM PUNK CAN'T DO A 450).

Plus, Rey's knees have taken lots of abuse over the years, necessitating several surgeries. But, who cares about their general well being? Let's just let them fly around the ring like lunatics and shorten their careers with unnecessary injuries. Long as we get that spotfest dammit, that's all that matters!

99% of the time, the entity that is restricting what moves a wrestler performs is the wrestler performing the move.
